In this manual the term "maintenance" belongs to set of the performed works, but not to the concrete procedure.
If from the moment of acquisition of the new car in accuracy to observe a maintenance order, to carry out frequent inspections of level of the liquids and details subject to the increased wear what it is insistently reminded in the Management of, then at the engine high operational qualities will remain and the volume of additional works will be minimized.
However if to carry out maintenance irregularly, then operation of the engine, most likely, will be unsatisfactory. Especially it concerns the engine of the car acquired not novoy which was not exposed to regular checks. In such cases besides periodic maintenance it is necessary to perform additional adjustment works.
Any kind of works on maintenance or search of the reason of abnormal operation of the engine should be begun with check of a compression in cylinders. Check of a compression in cylinders gives valuable information of rather general condition of many details of the internal device of the engine which can be used as fundamental both for the current maintenance, and for repair procedures. If, for example, a compression such is that strong wear of the engine is obvious, then routine maintenance will not lead to restoration of normal operational qualities and all works come down to an excessive waste of time and money.
The list of works which performance often leads to recovery of normal operation of the engine is given below.
Primary checks:
– clear, examine and check the accumulator; – check the level of oil and cooling liquid; – check a state and a tension of a driving belt; – replace spark plugs; – check the air filter and replace it if it is necessary; – check the fuel filter; – check a condition of all hoses and examine them on leak existence.
If the operations stated above were not effective, execute secondary checks – all operations which are listed above plus:
– check system of recharge of the accumulator; – check system of ignition; – check a power supply system. |
