5.1.16. System of production of the fulfilled gases

GENERAL INFORMATION

On models with the 2,0 l engine the exhaust system consists of three sections: a reception pipe with the catalytic converter, an intermediate pipe and the muffler, an exhaust pipe and the muffler.

On models with the 2,5 and 3,0 l engine the exhaust system consists of five sections: a reception and intermediate pipe for each of ranks of cylinders, an exhaust pipe and the muffler.

Removal

For removal of the exhaust system or its elements lift the car and establish it on support.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket of connection of the oxygen sensor (it is specified by an arrow). The socket of connection fastens sideways transmissions.
Reception pipe
2. Turn off fixing bolts (are specified by shooters) a reception pipe of the exhaust system.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of a reception pipe to an intermediate pipe (are specified by shooters).
Intermediate pipe
4. Turn off fixing bolts, get a pipe from fastenings and remove it from the car.
Exhaust pipe
5. Weaken the collar (is specified by an arrow) fixing an exhaust pipe to an intermediate pipe.
6. Get a pipe from fastenings and remove it from the car.
All exhaust system
7. Disconnect the socket of connection of the oxygen sensor.
8. Turn off fixing bolts, release rubber fastenings and remove the exhaust system.
Heat-shielding screens
9. For fastening of screens to a body various nuts and bolts are used. After removal of the corresponding section of the exhaust system it is possible to remove the heat-shielding screen.

Installation

Installation of all elements is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
