GENERAL INFORMATION

In view of features of use and material of which driving belts are made, they are subject to wear eventually therefore they need to be checked regularly.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. When the engine is killed, examine driving belts on all length on existence of cracks or stratification. You will need to turn a bent shaft of the engine (by means of the clockwork handle) to shift sites of a belt from pulleys and carefully to examine it. Overwind a belt to examine both parties of a belt. Also examine a belt on availability of the untwined fibers and the used-up places which look as glossy spots. Check pulleys for existence of cracks, deformation or corrosion.
2. If the driving belt is worn-out or damaged, it needs to be replaced.
3. Check a tension of all driving belts and if it is necessary, adjust.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Turn off fixing bolts and remove a protective guard from below of the engine.

DRIVING BELT OF THE GENERATOR

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the fan of cooling of a radiator, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 4.3.
2. Take off a driving belt of the pump of system of the hydraulic booster of steering or the compressor of the air conditioning system.
3. Turn off the lower fixing bolt of the generator and a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt, then turn off an adjusting nut to weaken a tension of a driving belt. Take off a driving belt from pulleys and take off it from the engine.
4. Establish a new belt into place and establish it on pulleys. By means of an adjusting nut adjust a tension of a driving belt so that when pressing by a thumb on a driving belt in the middle of the longest site it caved in no more than on 10 mm. After the driving belt will be correctly tense, tighten the lower fixing bolt of the generator till the required inhaling moment, then tighten a regulator lock-nut till the required inhaling moment.
5. Establish a driving belt of the pump of system of the hydraulic booster of steering or the compressor of the air conditioning system into place.
6. Install the fan of cooling of a radiator, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 4.3.

DRIVING BELT OF THE PUMP OF SYSTEM OF THE HYDRAULIC BOOSTER OF STEERING

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If it is necessary, remove a driving compressor belt of the air conditioning system.
2. Turn off fixing bolts of the pump of system of the hydraulic booster of steering and turn off the nut and a bolt fixing an adjusting clip to a pump arm.
3. Turn off a lock-nut, then turn off an adjusting nut to remove a tension from a driving belt. Take off a driving belt from pulleys and take off it from the engine.
4. Establish a new driving belt into place and establish it on pulleys.
5. Establish a driving compressor belt of the air conditioning system (if it is necessary) and pull it.
6. Pull a driving belt, having put the adjusting clamp so that when pressing by a thumb on a driving belt in the middle of the longest site it caved in no more than on 10 mm. After the driving belt will be tense, tighten a coupling bolt and fixing bolts of the pump till the required inhaling moment, then tighten a lock-nut till the required inhaling moment. Establish a protective guard of the engine and reliably tighten its fixing bolts.

DRIVING COMPRESSOR BELT OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off fixing bolts of the compressor and weaken a bolt, the fixing clip of an adjusting nut to the compressor. Turn off a lock-nut, then turn off an adjusting nut to remove a tension of a driving belt. Take off a driving belt from pulleys and take off it from the engine.
2. Establish a new driving belt into place and establish it on pulleys. Pull a belt, having put the adjusting clamp so that when pressing by a thumb on a driving belt in the middle of the longest site it caved in no more than on 10 mm. After the driving belt will be correctly tense, tighten a coupling bolt, bolts of fastening of the compressor and a lock-nut till the required inhaling moment. Check and if it is necessary, adjust a tension of a driving belt of the pump of system of the hydraulic booster of steering. Establish a protective guard from below of the engine and reliably tighten fixing bolts.
