2.2.4.2. Speed of idling and toxicity of exhausts

GENERAL INFORMATION

The tachometer of usual type (the sensor of frequency of rotation of a bent shaft) which works at impulses from system of ignition cannot be established on the diesel engine. If you consider that you cannot adjust the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft aurally, then you need to get a tachometer or to address experts.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check that the rope of an accelerator was correctly adjusted.

2. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature and check that the speed of operation of the engine in the mode of idling was such as it is specified in subsection 5.2.1.

3. If adjustment is necessary, turn off a lock-nut and turn the screw of adjustment of speed of idling located from above the injecting pump. When the speed of idling is correctly adjusted, reliably tighten a lock-nut.

4. Kill the engine and (if it is necessary) disconnect a tachometer upon completion of check.

Check of system of production of the fulfilled gases

For check of toxicity of exhaust gases it is necessary to use the special equipment therefore it is better to entrust performance of this operation to experts. If works regularly, this check does not need to be carried out.
