3.4.10. Block of cylinders

Cleaning

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect all external details and sensors from the block.
2. Clean off all traces of sealant.
3. Unscrew or drill caps of oil channels. Cut M10 carving in the perepuskny valve.
4. Twist a bolt in the valve.
5. Unscrew and take perepuskny the valve located behind an oil filter.
6. Clean and wash out lubricant openings and oil channels warm water and dry them, having blown compressed air.
7. Clean carvings of openings of the block of cylinders by means of taps of the suitable size.
8. Oil the block and twist new caps, having greased carvings of caps with sealant.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Examine the block on existence of cracks and traces of corrosion or a rust. Examine carvings of openings of the block. At detection of defects the block needs to be repaired or replaced whenever possible.
2. Examine cylinders.
3. Measure diameter of each cylinder in the top average and lower parts, parallel to an axis of a bent shaft.
4. Measure diameter of each cylinder in top average and lower its parts, perpendicular to an axis of a bent shaft.
5. Conicity of the cylinder is calculated as a difference between the top and lower diameters. Ovality – as a difference between parallel and perpendicular measurements.
6. If the received results do not coincide with technical requirements, address experts.
7. After completion of works insert new perepuskny the valve into the block of cylinders.
8. Hammer the valve into place.
