11.2. Brake overlays of forward brakes

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check thickness of slips through an opening in a brake support.
2. If slips need to be replaced, remove the wear sensor.
3. Remove a fixing clip and remove a brake hose from a fixing arm.
Models till 1998 of release with the 4-cylinder engine
4. Remove a big spring clip.
5. Remove caps.
6. Turn off and remove bolts of fingers of a support.
7. Remove a support. Remove an external brake slip from a fixing arm of a support.
8. Remove an internal brake slip from the support piston.
Models with the 4-cylinder engine since 1998 of release and all models with the 6-cylinder engine
9. Turn off and remove a bolt of the lower finger of a support.
10. Lift a support.
11. Remove internal and external brake slips.

Survey

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure thickness of brake slips. If any of brake slips demands replacement, it is necessary to replace all four brake slips on both wheels.
2. Lower the piston deep into of a support by means of a clamp.
3. Grease with high-temperature lubricant a reverse side of slips.
4. Grease with high-temperature lubricant adjacent areas on a fixing arm of a support.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal. On models with the 4-cylinder engine of release till 1998 establish a fixing spring so that its ends got to openings on a support.
